In 1978 Nick Bollettieri made his dream of creating the world’s first boarding school for young tennis players from around the world a reality. He put tennis courts and dorms on 40 acres of tomato fields in Bradenton, Florida and called it “The Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy.”

Today his legacy thrives on over 600 acres with 1800 young students training in 8 sports from over 72 countries, now called “IMG Academy”. Forty-five years later it remains the number one sports academy in the world.
